Special focus on “Spoken Language”. While grammar etc is covered, all of our courses focus on “speaking” the language successfully and getting students speaking as much as possible.
Genuinely smaller class sizes – while most language schools have 15, the maximum class size at the DLTC Language School is 11 students per class with an average of 8.
Quality teaching - all of our English and foreign language teachers are fully-qualified, experienced and native-speaking.
Friendly atmosphere, personal service, fun classes – nearly everyone who attends a course at the DLTC comments on the great atmosphere in the school
Great location – only 200 metres from Dun Laoghaire DART station and 20 minutes by DART from Dublin city centre. The school is served by 6 bus routes (7, 45A, 46A, 59, 78, 111) and, for evening students, free and plentiful on-street parking directly outside the school from 7pm.
Wide range of levels - while some language schools offer only beginners and improvers, we offer up to 5 levels from Beginners to Advanced in many of our language courses.
Wide range of courses – we offer general language courses, full-time English courses, part-time night courses (in Spanish, Italian, English and French), preparation courses for Cambridge English exams, private courses, business language courses, and oral preparation for Leaving Cert and Junior Cert.
Additional facilities – all our students can have a coffee or cold drink between classes, feel free to use our wi-fi internet connection, browse our collection of language-learning books, borrow our easy-reader selection of Spanish, Italian and English books.
Why learn English in Ireland?
Quality courses and teachers - English language teachers in Ireland are required to be qualified with University Degrees and specific English language teaching qualifications; our Spanish and Italian course teachers are qualified to the same standards.
Quality of English language - English is the everyday language of use in Ireland. The large number of famous English language writers from Ireland (Joyce, Beckett, Swift, Shaw, Heaney, Oscar Wilde, Yeats) testifies to a widely held belief that the quality of English spoken in Ireland is of the highest standard.
Friendly people - Study English in the classroom and then practise it with the friendly people of Dublin - you will always find someone ready to chat over a pint of Guinness!
Wonderful landscapes - Ireland is famous for its green and mystical landscapes. What better way to relax after attending your English course all morning, than to spend some time relaxing among grassy fields, mountains, lakes and rivers. See the photos of the school surroundings
Easy access - airlines Ryanair and Aer Lingus offer low-cost flights from many destinations around Europe, flying directly into Ireland at Dublin Airport. The DLTC English language school is only 45 minutes from Dublin Airport by direct express bus.
