The most popular option for students wishing to learn English. Stay with a local family in the Dun Laoghaire area as part of the family. The homes are all located within 30 minutes of the school either by walking or by bus. Homes are visited and inspected by the school director to ensure that the homes are of a suitable standard. We have two great value options:
Full-board - includes breakfast, packed-lunch, and evening dinner every day (Monday-Sunday). €185 per week (before 23/06/2013); €192 per week (from 23/06/2013). This is the best value option.
Half-board - includes breakfast and evening dinner every day (Monday-Sunday) + lunch included at the weekend. € 165euro per week. (before 23/06/2013); €172 per week (from 23/06/2013). If you choose this option, you have more freedom with your choice of food as you will provide your own lunch Monday-Friday - please be aware that lunch will typically cost you between 5-9euro per day to buy in a shop or cafe.
We are happy to recommend Hostel and Residence accommodation to our students. The hostels/residences are generally located in the very centre of Dublin which is about 20 minutes by DART (train) from the school. Rooms are generally shared and self-catering. Prices range between 105-160euro per week.
Dun Laoghaire has guesthouses available for 40€ per room (single) and 65€ double (shared) per night. 5-10 minutes walk from the school; 1 minute from buses and train station; 1 minute walk to the sea; in the centre of Dun Laoghaire. If you are interested in this option, we would be happy to give you details (mention you will be attending DLTC).
Dun Laoghaire has several hotels in the immediate area. This option depends on room availability and prices vary between hotels. If you are interested in this option, we would be happy to make enquiries on your behalf.
